This page presents a product test result from the National Consumer Affairs Center regarding a polyester curtain that developed white powder on its back surface after six years of use. Analysis revealed that the white powder consisted of curtain fibers themselves, which had deteriorated due to ultraviolet radiation from direct sunlight. The back surface, constantly exposed to sunlight, became brittle and fragmented into powder. Although polyester is relatively light-resistant, the investigation confirmed that prolonged sun exposure causes any material to become brittle from UV damage. Consumers are advised to understand that extended sun exposure affects material durability regardless of material type.
