This page presents the Fair Trade Commission's June 2022 report on transaction practices in the cloud services sector. As digitalization advances, cloud service usage expands and digital platform operators become increasingly important. The investigation primarily targets IaaS and PaaS, aiming to clarify transaction practices and competitive situations in the cloud services field while demonstrating the antitrust law perspective. The survey methodology includes interviews with 25 cloud providers and 18 user companies, questionnaires from July to August 2021, and international cooperation with European authorities. The report promotes fair competition and transparency while preventing monopolistic practices through dissemination and ongoing market monitoring.
