This page explains how to register a public account for receiving refunds during income tax filing. Since January 2022, taxpayers can register their refund account as a public account during tax filing or request amendments. The procedure can be done through e-Tax electronic filing or in-person at tax offices. Registration results are notified via My Number Portal, e-Tax message box, or postal mail. Applications may be rejected if the financial institution is ineligible, account validity cannot be confirmed, or if the account is already registered. Information transfer to the Digital Agency does not occur if tax filing has errors, incorrect My Number, failed identity verification, or improper account designation.
