このページは、スレンダー・ビルド・カール（Numenius tenuirostris）が国際自然保護連合（IUCN）によって正式に絶滅宣告されたことを伝えています。このカールは、ユーラシア大陸、北アフリカ、西アジアからの最初の記録された絶滅鳥類です。1912年にその減少が初めて文書化され、1988年には高い保全懸念が示されましたが、1990年代半ば以降、目撃の報告はありませんでした。野生での生存の可能性が絶たれ、2024年に絶滅が高いとされ、2025年にIUCNにより正式に絶滅と認定されました。このカールはかつて広く分布していた渡り鳥で、中央アジアで繁殖し、ヨーロッパ、北アフリカ、中東で越冬していました。絶滅の原因は不明ですが、その渡りの性質から多くの要因が影響したと考えられています。
