This page announces the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare's decision to resume imports of Polish beef as of August 1, 2014. Polish beef had been banned since 2002 due to BSE. The import resumption is based on scientific assessment by the Food Safety Commission. Import conditions include: cattle age limited to 30 months or younger, and specified risk materials limited to tonsils and distal ileum. These conditions match those applied to beef from the United States, Canada, France, and Ireland.

このページは、ポーランド産牛肉等の輸入再開に関する報道発表資料です。ポーランドではこれまでBSE発生国として牛肉の輸入が禁止されていましたが、食品安全委員会の評価を受け、輸入条件が整ったため、2014年8月1日より輸入を再開することが決定されました。輸入には30か月齢以下の牛のみが対象であり、特定危険部位として扁桃及び回腸遠位部が制限されます。これは米国やカナダ、フランス、アイルランドと同様の措置です。
