The action was taken following the discovery of counterfeit Harvoni tablets used for hepatitis C treatment. On March 13, 2017, Tokyo imposed improvement orders on five companies: Yell Pharmacy, Daiko Pharmacy, Takayo Pharmacy, Fuji Pharmacy, and Nogawa Pharmacy.
