This page reports the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare's measurement results of radioactive strontium and plutonium in distributed foods from 15 regions nationwide conducted during September-October 2012 and February-March 2013. Strontium-90 was detected in some samples but remained within pre-accident levels. No plutonium was detected. Results matched the previous year's survey. The ministry will continue conducting such investigations to verify food safety.
