This page announces the revision of the "List of Ciphers to Be Referred for procurement in E-Government (CRYPTREC Cipher List)" by the Digital Agency, Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, and METI. Public comments on the draft list were solicited from March 9-23, 2023, with four submissions received. The page presents the comments and government responses in Attachment 1, and the revised cipher list in Attachment 2. CRYPTREC is a project evaluating and monitoring cryptographic technologies for e-government security and examining appropriate implementation and operation methods.
