This page is a press release from Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare dated July 1, 2016, announcing inspection orders for imported Chilean kiwifruit and processed kiwifruit products. Residues of fenhexamid, a fungicide, exceeding the standard of 0.01 ppm were detected in monitoring tests. Two violations were found: one shipment contained 0.02 ppm and another 0.05 ppm. All import lots must now undergo testing. The fungicide poses no health risk at normal consumption levels.
