Electronic power of attorney｜Digital Agency

This page introduces Japan's policy on promoting the dissemination of electronic power of attorney. Based on the Act on Promoting the Dissemination of Electronic Power of Attorney, which came into effect on January 1, 2018, the Digital Agency certifies electronic power of attorney handling services and establishes guidelines for dissemination. Electronic power of attorney is an electromagnetic record indicating that a corporation's representative has granted representation authority to an employee. The government promotes smooth distribution through certification of services meeting established standards.
