This page is a press release from the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare dated June 9, 2017, regarding food shipment restrictions under the Nuclear Disaster Countermeasures Act. The Nuclear Disaster Countermeasures Headquarters instructed Niigata Prefecture to restrict shipments of wild Japanese pepper (koshiabura) produced in Minamiuonuma City and Tsunan Town. The restriction was based on inspection results: 150 Bq/kg detected in Minamiuonuma City on May 10, 2017, and 120 Bq/kg in Tsunan Town on May 16, 2017.
