The Nuclear Disaster Countermeasures Headquarters instructed Niigata Prefecture to restrict shipments of wild Japanese pepper (koshiabura) produced in Minamiuonuma City and Tsunan Town. The restriction was based on inspection results: 150 Bq/kg detected in Minamiuonuma City on May 10, 2017, and 120 Bq/kg in Tsunan Town on May 16, 2017.
