This page presents the 1005th report on radioactive substances in food, released by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare on October 31, 2016. Following the Fukushima nuclear accident, local governments conducted inspections across Japan. The local government inspections found 15 cases exceeding safety standards, including wild mushrooms and wild boar meat from Yamanashi Prefecture and bear meat from Gunma Prefecture. Emergency monitoring and Fukushima Prefecture inspections detected 11 cases over limits, primarily in wild boar meat. The National Institute of Health Sciences reported no exceedances.
