The JFTC conducted intensive investigations into game software, animation production, relaxation, and fitness club industries where freelance transactions are common. As a result, guidance was issued to 45 business operators regarding corrections to contracts, invoices, order methods, and payment terms. The JFTC will continue actively collecting information about suspected violations and implement swift enforcement actions. An online reporting window jointly operated with the Small and Medium Enterprise Agency and Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare accepts complaints from freelancers.
