This page presents the Fair Trade Commission's report on the implementation of the Subcontracting Law in fiscal year 2022 (released May 30, 2023). Six recommendations were issued for violations, including three cases of unauthorized price reductions and two cases of product returns. A total of 8,665 guidance cases were handled. Remediation was provided to 6,294 subcontractors from 180 parent companies, totaling approximately ¥1.135 billion. Additionally, 23 parent companies voluntarily disclosed violations, resulting in remediation of approximately ¥821 million to 91 subcontractors. The commission is implementing measures to promote fair transactions for small and medium-sized enterprises, including price transfer facilitation schemes.
