About this page
This page explains how to become a Real Estate Appraiser, a national qualification in Japan. Candidates must pass the Real Estate Appraiser Examination administered by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, complete practical training, and register with the Minister. The short-answer examination is held in May annually and is open to anyone regardless of age, education, or experience. Successful candidates are exempt from short-answer exams for two years and can take the essay examination in August. The essay test covers four subjects including Civil Law and Economics. Practical training lasts one or two years, after which candidates register upon passing the completion examination.
