This page describes the Study Group on New Urban Traffic Survey System established by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. The group examines how to design survey methods and utilize survey data amidst changing mobility patterns due to telework expansion and digitalization, as well as advancing big data and simulation technologies. Held 11 times from November 2021 to February 2024, the group released interim findings in July 2022. In June 2024, the Urban Traffic Survey Guidance was formulated based on the discussions.
