This page provides information about radar rain gauges operated by Japan's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. A radar rain gauge observes rainfall in real-time over wide areas by transmitting radio waves from a rotating antenna and receiving the reflected signals from raindrops. The page lists approximately 60 radar rain gauge installations across Japan as of March 2026, including their locations, frequency bands (C-band or X-band), and polarization types (single or dual).
