This page presents the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism's "Space Construction Innovation Project," which aims to advance unmanned construction and ICT-based construction technologies developed in Japan. The initiative applies these technologies toward future lunar construction activities while establishing them as foundational technologies for terrestrial construction projects. Launched in fiscal year 2021, the project accepts research and development proposals through public recruitment, with selected proposals receiving government funding. Twelve continuing projects were approved for fiscal year 2025.
