This page showcases an excellent case study in Japan's disaster prevention assets. The Tenryu River Comprehensive Learning Hall "Kawaranbe" in Iida City, Nagano Prefecture is highlighted. The facility offers diverse disaster prevention education programs including family-oriented lectures, disaster prevention walking tours, and evacuation life simulations. Located in the Ina Valley, an area prone to water disasters, the facility implements community-wide activities to deepen understanding of disaster prevention based on the 1961 flood disaster.
