This page announces that the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism will hold its first meeting of the Committee for Reorganizing Urban Traffic Measures on February 17. The committee aims to address declining trends in outings and mobility by reorganizing urban traffic policies to achieve compact, sustainable urban structures and walkable urban spaces. Led by Professor Akihiro Morimoto from Waseda University, the committee will include two working groups focusing on urban traffic axes and hub areas to strengthen transportation networks and enhance livability.
