For stations with average daily users exceeding 3,000, step elimination via elevators reached 94.2%, while fall prevention equipment was installed in 85.4% of stations. Accessible restrooms achieved 92.7% and widened ticket gates 96.8%. However, tactile guidance blocks for visually impaired users remained at only 46.5%. Approximately 62.7% of railway vehicles have wheelchair spaces installed. Under the Barrier-free Law, the government aims to achieve barrier-free status for about 70% of all railway vehicles by FY2025.
