This page announces the 2025 Handmade Hometown Award Ceremony. The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism recognized 10 outstanding community-building activities from 29 applications nationwide. The commemorative presentation event will be held on March 1, 2026, at Hitotsubashi Hall in Tokyo, featuring presentations by award-winning organizations. The event is free and available for online viewing. The initiative aims to promote excellent regional development efforts across Japan and encourage the creation of distinctive, attractive hometowns through sharing successful community activities.
