This page announces the Third Committee Meeting on Business Continuity Plans for Container Terminals by Japan's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. During natural disasters and crises, container shipping plays a vital role in maintaining economic activities. However, comprehensive operational continuity planning for entire container terminals has been insufficient. The committee aims to incorporate container terminal business continuity planning into the Port BCP Guidelines. The meeting is scheduled for March 13, 2026, at the Japan Port Association in Tokyo, with online participation available.
