This page announces the third batch of CNP certification (Container Terminal) by Japan's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism as of March 10, 2025. Three container terminals—Sakai-Izumi-Kita Port Suketsu, Mikawa Port Toyohashi, and Yokkaichi Port—have been newly certified. The CNP certification system, launched in June 2023, evaluates decarbonization efforts on a five-level scale. The certification program aims to promote sustainable port operations, enable terminal selection based on carbon neutrality considerations, and facilitate competition among terminals toward achieving carbon-neutral ports.
