This page announces Japan's first LNG bunkering international symposium, organized by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry on April 3, 2017, in Yokohama. Following IMO's decision to strengthen sulfur oxide emission regulations for ships from 2020, the event aims to promote LNG fuel adoption and establish international networks of LNG bunkering ports. The symposium features keynote speeches and panel discussions with shipping companies and energy sector representatives. Registration deadline is March 21, and participation is free.
