On December 16, 2022, the plan submitted by Yamanaka Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., which focuses on developing next-generation domestic cargo ships that reduce both CO2 emissions and crew burden while improving productivity through digital technology, was officially recognized. This brings the cumulative total of certified entities to 17 groups comprising 31 companies. Certified shipbuilders and shipping companies can now access various support measures when introducing environmentally superior vessels.
