This page announces the publication of accident investigation reports on elevators and other lifting equipment by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. Three reports were compiled following deliberations by the Accident Investigation Committee on December 23, 2025. The reports cover elevator accidents in Shiga and Kyoto prefectures (August 7 and September 19, 2024) and an elevator accident in Kobe, Hyogo prefecture (February 27, 2025). Summary and detailed versions of each report are available in PDF format.
