This page announces that the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism has selected eight target organizations for the FY2023 Sewerage Greenhouse Gas Reduction Promotion Model Project. Following public recruitment in May 2023, eight treatment facilities were selected from Ibaraki, Tochigi, Toyama, Nagano, Shizuoka, Osaka, and Ehime prefectures. The project aims to promote decarbonization across all sewerage systems through horizontal dissemination of measures and initiatives.
