This page describes the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism's initiative on field-based sediment disaster mitigation meetings with regional stakeholders. To ensure worker safety and conduct rapid emergency restoration work after large-scale sediment disasters, the ministry has been holding discussion meetings since fiscal year 2023 with local construction companies and prefectures engaged in disaster response work. The meetings aim to address challenges faced by both project owners and contractors. The next meeting is scheduled for June 26, 2024, in Fukuoka Prefecture.
