This page announces the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism's collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries to promote agricultural product exports through ports. Shimizu Port has been recognized as a "direct-from-producer port" to facilitate exports using direct shipping services. Supporting the 2030 goal of achieving 5 trillion yen in agricultural exports, the initiative will fund cold chain management facilities and reefer container power supply infrastructure. The certification award ceremony was scheduled for September 2, 2021, at Shizuoka Prefectural Government offices.
