This page describes an industry-government forum established by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism to promote large-scale deployment of floating offshore wind power. The forum facilitates collaborative planning and technical discussions between government and private sectors on maritime construction, including assembly and installation of floating structures, and related vessel challenges. Three forums were held from May to August 2024, discussing surrounding situations, technical issues, overseas cases, and vessel demand forecasts. A working group has also been established to examine maritime construction scenarios and research methodologies for advancing floating offshore wind power development.
