About this page
This page describes the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism's demonstration project for automated foreign trailers. Long waiting times at container terminal gates have created poor working conditions for drivers and reduced container transport capacity. To address this, the ministry conducted demonstration projects for autonomous trailer operations in ports to improve driver working environments and maintain transport capacity. Results from fiscal year 2023 demonstrations and earlier procurement information are provided.
