About this page
This page explains the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism's amendments to traffic laws regarding license plate display. From April 1, 2016, covering license plates with cases, attaching stickers, displaying them in dirty condition, rotating them, or folding them becomes explicitly prohibited. For vehicles first registered on or after April 1, 2021, license plates must be displayed within specific angle ranges, and frames or bolt covers must not exceed certain size limits. Displaying license plates clearly and legibly is mandated.
