This page is a press release from the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare dated March 20, 2015, announcing food shipment restrictions ordered by the Nuclear Disaster Countermeasures Headquarters to Fukushima Prefecture. The restriction applies to 2015-harvest rice produced in certain areas of Fukushima Prefecture (including Minamisoma, Kawamata, Naraha, Tomioka, Okuma, Futaba, Namie, Kawachi, Katsurao, and Iitate) that do not comply with the prefecture's management plan. The order is based on the Nuclear Disaster Countermeasures Special Measures Act Article 20, Section 2.
