This page is a press release from the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare dated April 28, 2014, reporting the results of radioactive substance tests in food (Report No. 875) related to the Fukushima nuclear accident. Test data from multiple municipalities across Japan, from Hokkaido to Shimane Prefecture, are included. One item exceeded safety standards: wild Japanese spikenard from Tochigi Prefecture with cesium levels of 210 Bq/kg. Emergency monitoring and Fukushima Prefecture test results showed no exceedances of safety standards.
