This page is a press release from the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare dated April 17, 2014, announcing the lifting of food shipment restrictions under the Nuclear Disaster Countermeasures Special Measures Act. The restrictions on bamboo shoots produced in the former Kōno Village area of Marumori Town, Miyagi Prefecture, and on raw shiitake mushrooms (facility-cultivated) from Kanuma City, Tochigi Prefecture, managed according to prefectural management plans, have been lifted based on inspection results. The order was issued by the Nuclear Disaster Countermeasures Headquarters with detailed instructions and application documents included as attachments.
