The Nuclear Disaster Countermeasures Headquarters instructed Fukushima Prefecture to restrict shipments of 2026-crop rice produced in certain areas that do not follow the prefectural management plan. The affected areas include parts of Minamisoma, Kawamata, Naraha, Tomioka, Okuma, Futaba, Namie, Kawauchi, Katsurao, and Iitate municipalities.
