This page announces the Fair Trade Commission's request on February 16, 2022, regarding the shortening of promissory note payment terms. To improve transaction conditions for small and medium-sized businesses, approximately 1,400 business organizations were requested to reduce promissory note terms to within 60 days. Terms exceeding 60 days will be considered for guidance as difficult-to-discount promissory notes by 2026. Additionally, approximately 5,000 parent companies currently using longer terms were requested to promptly shorten their payment terms to comply with the new standards.
