This page announces the publication of the Financial Services Agency's AI Discussion Paper (Version 1.1) on March 3, 2026. The FSA released Version 1.0 in March 2025 to promote healthy AI utilization in finance. Following consultations through the "FSA AI Public-Private Forum" held from June to December 2025, where stakeholders shared insights on AI adoption, risk management, and regulatory clarity, the FSA updated the paper to Version 1.1. The paper comprehensively examines current AI usage in financial institutions and associated issues. The FSA plans to continue stakeholder dialogue and flexibly develop concrete measures. Comments and suggestions are welcomed via email.
