This page reports on a fatal scaffolding collapse during crane dismantling work at JFE Steel's facility in Kawasaki on April 7th. Yukō Koike, 29, died in the accident. His mother, Yōko (75), shared with journalists that her son had a routine of waking at 4:30 AM and leaving for work around 9 PM. She made him lunch daily as a daily ritual. On the night of the accident, she was preparing his lunch for the next day while waiting for his return. Deeply distressed, she expressed her anguish about why her kind-hearted son suffered this tragedy.
