This page reports that Osaka Prefectural Police's Izumisano Station lost a reagent kit used for stimulant drug identification. The reagents contain hazardous substances including concentrated sulfuric acid that can cause inflammation and be fatal if ingested. The kit was delivered in February but disappeared by April 1st. Although regulations required recording when removing the kit from a locked refrigerator under supervisor presence, the station failed to maintain any records after its delivery. The station has also experienced evidence theft incidents this year.
