The victim discovered an investment advertisement on LINE and contacted a woman posing as an analyst. Promised profits of 50,000 to 1,500,000 yen on a 1 million yen investment, he registered for an investment app and transferred money to designated accounts ten times between December and January. He was repeatedly pressured for additional investments and guarantee fees. When asked to send money for his parent's surgery, the victim grew suspicious and contacted police in January, revealing the fraud. This is the highest amount of special fraud damage in the prefecture.
