The Sendai District Court's sentence of 21 years imprisonment for defendant Renshin Sato (22), charged with murder, became final on April 1st. The prosecution, which had sought 25 years, did not appeal. The victim's mother expressed dissatisfaction, stating she found no justice in the trial. The defense team also did not appeal.
