The accused, a 3rd Lieutenant graduate of the National Defense Academy, allegedly arrived at Roppongi Station about 1.5 hours before entering the embassy grounds. He reportedly hid in bushes and approached embassy personnel, entering by climbing over a fence from an adjacent building. Police are treating the case seriously after finding a blade inside the embassy.
