A 33-year-old man drove a light vehicle at an uncontrollable speed and collided with a traffic light pole. He fled the scene without assisting a 33-year-old female passenger, who died as a result. After the accident, the man stole a car and fled, and was arrested on suspicion of drug possession in Ishikawa Prefecture two days later. He faces charges of dangerous driving resulting in death and hit-and-run.
