From April 1st, the special task force's command will be upgraded from the Criminal Affairs Bureau Chief to the Vice Commissioner. Kohei-ikka, the core organization of Sumiyoshi-kai, is suspected of cooperating with anonymous fluid criminal groups and involvement in special fraud and robbery. The task force was established in January with 75 dedicated investigators. Commissioner Tsutui instructed all departments to strengthen coordination and push forward the crackdown.
