This page reports that Miyo Ikeda, a 30-year-old employee of the Shinano Mainichi Newspaper, was indicted without prosecution for non-consensual sexual intercourse with an acquaintance on March 15, 2024, at a residence in Iiyama, Nagano Prefecture. The Nagano District Public Prosecutors Office indicted him on March 31. The newspaper company apologized and stated it would closely monitor the trial and respond appropriately. The prefectural police had referred the case on February 12.
