On April 7th at around 9:40 PM, a zelkova tree approximately 1 meter in diameter fell, temporarily blocking the adjacent Ookusu Street. A strong wind warning was in effect with gusts reaching 16.7 m/s. The park has experienced multiple incidents this year; last month saw two consecutive incidents injuring a woman and damaging two cars. Cherry trees fell on April 2nd as well. This represents the fourth tree fall incident at the park in April alone.
