In January, the victim encountered someone posing as an investor on SNS and was introduced to LINE investment study groups. An account impersonating renowned investor Murakami Yoshiaki was also in the group. Following instructions, the man transferred 5.5 million yen via ATMs. He was additionally defrauded of 3.5 million yen by another group using similar tactics. Police are investigating accounts used in fraudulent transactions and warn the public against profit schemes on SNS.
